Below is a summary of the evaluations and awards received from external organizations for the JGC Group's activities and initiatives.
Inclusion in ESG indexes
FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index
This index, created by FTSE Russell, a leading ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) rating agency, evaluates Japanese companies excelling in ESG criteria. Approximately 600 companies with relatively high scores are selected. It is also adopted as a passive investment benchmark for the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF)'s ESG investments. Since the commencement of operations in March 2022, our company has been continuously selected.
FTSE Russell confirms that JGC Holdings Corporation has been independently assessed according to the index criteria, and has satisfied the requirements to become a constituent of the FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index. The FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index is used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other products. Since the commencement of operations in March 2022, our company has been continuously selected.
S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index
Our company has been selected as a constituent of the S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index (as of February 2026).
This index adjusts the weighting of TOPIX constituent companies based on each company’s carbon efficiency (carbon emissions per unit of revenue) and the extent of its environmental information disclosure.
Evaluation of Sustainability by External Parties
MSCI ESG Ratings
The ratings range from "AAA" (highest) to "CCC" (lowest) across seven levels. We have achieved an "A" rating as of July 2025.
FTSE ESG Ratings
We have achieved a score of 2.3 out of 5 as of June 2025.
Environment (E)
CDP
CDP Climate Change evaluates companies' responses to climate change across eight levels, from "A" (highest rating) to "D⁻". In the fiscal year 2025, we received a "B" rating.
Social (S)
Supporting child-rearing (Kurumin)
The Company and its group business companies have been certified as "Kurumin" companies, recognized for supporting child-rearing.
Japan Alumni Award
We actively rehire those who at one point left or retired from our group company. In fiscal 2022 these efforts were honored by the third consecutive Encouragement Award from the Japan Alumni Award, which promotes renewed ties between organizations and their former employees and recognizes outstanding efforts to this end. In fiscal 2023, we received the Excellence Award in the Design of Will Category.
Evaluation of Investor Relations activities
"Outstanding Integrated Reports" / "Most Improved Integrated Reports" selected by institutions entrusted with managing domestic equity investments for the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF)
Our group's Integrated Reports have been selected as either "Outstanding Integrated Reports" or "Most Improved Integrated Reports" more than six times. Most recently, in fiscal year 2022, we were recognized with the "Most Improved Integrated Report" award.
Daiwa Investor Relations "Daiwa Internet IR Award"
Daiwa Investor Relations Co. evaluates and scores listed companies based on their criteria for building excellent IR websites and utilizing them for information disclosure and communication. We received the Excellence Award in fiscal year 2025.
