Contributing to the Realization of a Circular Economy

Up to the present, humankind has pursued material affluence, and as a result, mass production, mass consumption and mass disposal of various products derived from natural resources have become typical of our way of life. Consequently, we face a variety of problems, such as the depletion of resources and the increase in greenhouse gases. Amid the need to build a circular economy that reduces environmental impact through the recycling of limited resources and energy, the JGC Group is contributing to the realization of a sustainable society through the commercialization of a wide range of technologies that contribute to the formation of a circular economy. These include the chemical recycling of plastic and fiber waste, as well as the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) produced from used cooking oil.
