The project called for the construction of a gas separation and boosting plant to provide feedstock for the gas processing plant at the Hassi R'Mel gas field, the largest gas production base in Algeria, following decline of wellhead pressure over time.
Since the 1970s, the JGC Group has completed numerous projects in this key geographical area of Algeria.
The project team faced a variety of challenges in the execution of the project, including the large amount of construction work required for the installation of high-pressure gas handling equipment, all in a short period of time, and remote project management by the on-site staff under the various restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on our continued and concerted efforts made to execute this project together with the client, we achieved delivery of the facilities at the end of 2021. We will maximally draw on the knowledge and experience gained through this project, with the firm aim of contributing to the implementation of future projects in Algeria.
