In 2011, the Vietnamese government formulated the 7th Power Development Plan (PDP7) and announced its intention to expand the use of renewable energy as a nation and increase the capacity of solar power generation facilities to 12,000 MW by 2030. In conjunction with this plan, Gia Lai Electricity Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of the TTC Group developed a project which build one of the country's largest mega solar power plants in the Krong Pa District of Gia Lai Province, located in the southern part of central Vietnam. The JGC Group, in collaboration with JGC Vietnam, awarded EPC contract for this in 2018, and completed successfully in the same year.
Under the "2040 Vision," the long-term management vision of the JGC Group, energy transition will be a pillar of our business for the five years from 2021 to 2025, and we are also focusing our efforts on the renewable energy field. With this project as a stepping stone, our group is constructing multiple renewable energy plants overseas, contributing to the establishment of clean social infrastructure in the country and the Asian region.
