JGC Gulf International signed major Long-Term Agreement for oil and gas brownfield projects with Aramco

Yokohama, Japan--JGC Holdings Corporation announced today that its subsidiary in Saudi Arabia, JGC Gulf International Co., Ltd., signed a long-term (six-year) comprehensive agreement with Aramco for the brownfield projects on November 17th.

The agreement covers various engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) works for upgrade/modification of existing oil and gas plants owned and operated by Aramco. Under this agreement, Aramco will award the contract through competitive bidding to one of the LTA contractors.

Plant modification work is extremely challenging, as it requires thorough knowledge of plant equipment configuration and location, incorporation of the latest technology into the design, as well as the planning and execution of a prompt and safe construction plan tailored to the plant's operating conditions.

Since its establishment, JGC Gulf has successfully completed a number of projects from clients in the Middle East, including Aramco, and JGC Gulf believes that its outstanding project execution capabilities are highly regarded.

JGC Gulf will continue to proactively seek orders for projects planned by Aramco based on the relationship of trust that the JGC Group has developed over many years with Aramco, and the JGC Group will contribute to the further development of Saudi Arabia by drawing on its accumulated EPC expertise and experience acquired through projects completed in Saudi Arabia as well as globally.
