The aim of this project was to construct a new plant for GMP-compliant production of pharmaceutical intermediates and bulk drugs. To handle multipurpose production, a high-capacity, general purpose reaction tank, a centrifugal separator, a vacuum dryer, and a class 100,000 clean room were set up giving the plant the capacity to handle everything from the mass production of pharmaceutical intermediates and bulk drugs to small lot production of many products. Moreover, equipment for treating flue gas through adsorption removal of the solvent gas from manufacturing equipment was also installed.
This was a project that required quick delivery, with everything from engineering to construction, commissioning and validation having to be completed in 21 months, but thanks to its engineering and project management skills honed through a wealth of experience related to the construction of pharmaceutical plants, JGC succeeded in completing the factory by the deadline date.
