This project was planned by JSR Corporation to build a new core laboratory for the purpose of accelerating open innovation, and the JGC Group was awarded a contract for the design, procurement, and construction (EPC) services in 2019.
In this project, in order to realize the creation of new business through collaboration among several divisions, multiple collaboration labs will be set up as joint research bases with other companies, and a variety of digital systems including state-of-the-art conference systems will be introduced. In addition, a precise design which encourages free and open communication across research fields facilitates faster and more interactive communication among researchers and enables the creation of an innovative research and development environment.
In recognition of these efforts, the project received the 35th NIKKEI NEW OFFICE AWARD: Kanto New Office Encouragement Award in 2022.
