The JGC Group has worked in Algeria for Sonatrach for over 50 years since the Arzew Refinery Project in 1969.
Located in the northern part of Hassi Mesaoud, an important crude oil production center in Algeria being developed by Sonatrach, the HMD-UN (Upside-North) Project called for the construction of a treatment facility for products from multiple wells and separation into crude oil, gas and water, to be sent to existing facilities for further processing.
In the final stages of Project implementation, the JGC project team had to cope with the various impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, making utmost efforts to successfully manage the Project on a remote basis. The team overcame all challenges in completing the project, working tirelessly together with the client. Pushing forward with the Project, we were able to achieve delivery of the facilities by the end of 2021.
The knowledge and experience gained will serve us well in the implementation of future projects in Algeria and contribute to the further development of the Algerian nation.
