JGC acquired a part of the stocks owned by Marubeni Corporation, spearheading a power generation and water desalination business in the Taweelah region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and began taking part in this project in 2008.
The Taweelah A2 IWPP, which was the central facility in this project, has the capacity to generate 710 MW of electricity and desalinate around 230,000 tons of water per day.
