At the ceremony held on January 7 th to mark the beginning of the new year, JGC Chairman and CEO Masayuki Sato delivered the following address to the management and employees of the company.

This Year We Embark on Our Return to Sustained Growth

In a climate that promises a real recovery in the plant market, we have our eyes firmly fixed on achieving \1 trillion in orders and are making good progress in acquiring additional contracts.

There are concerns regarding the trade conflict involving the U.S. and China, but the JGC Group is looking toward 2019 as the year in which we will return to sustained growth.

Not limited to the oil & gas EPC business, the JGC Group is looking forward to making substantial moves toward gaining revenue in multiple fields as we prepare for the transition to our new Group management system on October 1st, cementing the foundation for a distinct leap forward in our progress to greater prosperity.
