Responding to the World's Demand for Energy

JGC has handled fossil fuel power plant construction projects for oil, coal, natural gas, and other energy sources in Japan and other countries. It is also the first firm worldwide to offer both design and construction of integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) plants fueled by residual oil that require advanced technology capabilities. It is aggressively promoting the development and use of new power producing technologies, such as a power system that runs on boil off gas (BOG) from tanks at LNG receiving terminals, the commercialization of power generation using low-rank coal, solar thermal and photovoltaic power plants and other methods. In addition, by applying the knowledge acquired through our EPC work, JGC is engaged in the development, investment in and operation of power generation and water desalinization facilities.
