Contributing to Improvement of Nuclear Power Safety with Advanced Technical Capabilities

Nuclear power occupies an important position globally as an electricity energy source alongside oil, natural gas, and coal. JGC has handled many projects for designing and constructing facilities for radioactive wastetreatment and disposal and for spent nuclear fuel reprocessing in Japan and other countries.
In addition, it contributes to the development of nuclear power both in Japan and overseas through activities including the planning and construction of facilities essential in the nuclear fuel cycle such as facilities for the treatment and disposal of radioactive waste and those for spent nuclear fuel reprocessing. It is also contributing to the recovery measures being taken following the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.
